Is this standalone or does it require another game?  The reason I ask is I cannot get it to start and the readme says it is an EWV mod.  If its a mod then it totally explains why I can't get it to work.

I'm using a Windows 10 rig, is there a recommended compatibility setting?

- G Drive

No joy after installing to G drive which is my "Games" drive either via desktop short-cut or directly from EXE within game folder.  Screen goes black and looks it might begin the start-up process; but goes back to desktop.  Tried running as administrator and using compatibility troubleshooter to no avail.

Uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller.

- C Drive

Installed to pro-offered "C" drive location.

Same situation ... no joy via the desktop short-cut or directly from EXE within game folder, "Run as Administrator," or troubleshooter.  On one occasion it did start (cannot recall settings) and it got stuck on the main screen in a sound loop.  Had to restart the PC in order to get out.

Uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller.

- C Drive (2d attempt)

Reinstalled to pro-offered "C" drive location hoping to replicate the attempted loop to no avail.  Still no joy after several attempts.

Uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller.

This is on windows 10 so all i can think of is it may not have downloaded complete or try reinstalling or redownload. I tried it several times and it seems to be ok

Well, guess its just my end.  I downloaded the file again, reinstalled twice, and no joy.

Sorry about that. I wonder if your computer has a missing software. Have you looked into the z3D log or the sound log, might be a clue there

Hey, not your fault that we have different set-ups.  This is an Alienware that originally ran 8.1; but "upgraded?" to W10.

Anyway, had to reinstall; but still no joy.

Neither the sound or z3D logs were in the root folder which is where they are located in my DD2 install.  Did a search of the installation folder just in case they are placed in a different location and still no joy.  My guess is neither of them were created since I can't even get it start ... let alone crash.

As for missing software, I noted a DX9.dll and thought it might be DX9-related.  Installed dx9; but still no joy after installing and rebooting my rig.

Probably something simple; but I wouldn't worry about it as I have already uninstalled the mod.
